BRIAN BELCHER

Acrobatics Instructor

Originally from Alaska, Brian attended and graduated from High School Upper Columbia Academy in Washington. It was here that Brian discovered his love for acrobatics and in 2003 started his training on their acrobatic gymnastics team. After graduating, Brian returned to Anchorage, where he joined the Alaska Air National Guard. At this time, he began teaching recreational gymnastics at Arctic Gymnastics and also trained at Studio 49. Brian also participated in Denali Gymnastics’s International Level 5 Cheer Team.  While cheering for Denali Gymnastics, Brian was a part of the team that accepted a bid and competed in the World of Cheerleading Competition, where they placed 8th in the international level.

Brian has also danced with Underground Dance Company as a part of their adult company, Hardcore.  While in the company, Brian competed in the American Grand National Dance Competition, placing 1st with his team. Brian was also a part of the first ever show put on by UDC/Hardcore titled R.A.W. the Real Attitude Within. Brian also had the opportunity to be a part of the opening act for Brian McKnight in 2013. Brian has danced and performed at multiple venues with multiple dance groups throughout Anchorage including Momentum Dance Collective, Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy, Anchorage Dance Theater, Dancer’s Workshop, and Studio Pulse. Brian recently starred in Studio Pulse’s Nutcracker Redux, where he performed as the Nutcracker.
